Większość rządzi? Ludzie i zwierzęta [Majority rules? People and animals] Bartłomiej Nowak (KFT, PWr, Wrocław) Many decision-making processes require some kind of agreement in a certain group. However, this does not always have to be unanimity. There are many situations in which the opinion of the majority wins. This is observable both among humans and animals. Threshold models try to describe these phenomena using agent-based modelling as well as an analytical approach. As part of this lecture, we will review the most important threshold models, trying to show examples in human and animal communities.
