Woda opadowa w mieście [Rainwater in the city] Kornelia Przestrzelska (Doctoral School - Environmental Engineering, Mining, and Power Engineering, PWr, Wrocław) The growing urbanisation around the world makes it necessary to adapt to the changing world in all areas of life. One of the consequences of urban sprawl is climate change, including precipitation, which affects everyone's lives. Cities around the world are struggling with the effects of floods and periods of drought. For this reason, a Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) solution has been proposed. Integration of BGI solutions into the urban environment is a state-of-the-art solution to support the functioning of sewage networks and combat various problems in cities, such as noise and urban heat island. Furthermore, the diversity of BGI systems offers environmental, financial, and social benefits that should encourage planners and city authorities to implement them in cities.
