Anna Kowalska-Pyzalska is an associate professor of management science. Since 2021 she has been a head of a discipline of management science and quality in the Doctoral School at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (https://szd.pwr.edu.pl/en/).

With an M.Sc. in Management (2001), a Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems (2006), four years spent in the power industry (2006-2010) and a habilitation in Management Sciences (2019), she possesses unique expertise on the interface of energy markets, management and behavioral economics. Her most recent research interests include modeling innovation diffusion, adoption of innovative goods and services in the energy market (e.g. smart metering platforms, dynamic electricity tariffs, renewable energy sources, and others) and social acceptance of these goods and services. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles (most notably in top-tier Energy Policy, Energy Reports, Information Processing & Management, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Physica A, or Telematics and Informatics) and is an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of JCR listed journals. She was an Investigator on national (NCN) and EU funded projects and currently is the Principal Investigator of a next NCN (National Science Centre, Poland) OPUS grant. Currently, she has around 400 Scopus-indexed citations and an H-index of 11.
